A new facility in Ibbenbüren

In Ibbenbüren, under the direction of SAACKE, Angus Chemie, a turnkey facility for the recovery of energy from residues of chemical production, was built. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in July 2013.

Here, process steam is generated by a low-emission and highly efficient incinerator. This means that 85 percent of the natural gas previously required for the production of Angus Chemie can be replaced. Also the long transports by the republic and the expensive disposal of the production residues are omitted.

SAACKE, a leader in the burner and furnace industry, developed a concept tailored specifically to ANGUS Chemie as early as 2010. With a sophisticated concept, the system manages to use even residual materials with the lowest calorific value in an energetic way? and that in compliance with all legal emission requirements. Flue gas cleaning and state-of-the-art technology for comfortable control ensure safe operation. Around the clock, 365 days a year.

A smart engineering and a HiTech design characterize the new 11 MW system. A two-stage combustion ensures the low-emission use of nitrogen-containing residues, and a low requirement for supporting fuel ensures economical operation and a short payback period.

In September 2014, our company SMB Rohrleitungsbau Wildau GmbH & Co. KG was commissioned by SAACKE GmbH to realize all media pipes including fittings sections both in the plant itself and the connection to the plants of Angus Chemie. Since this was a pilot plant, improvisation and rapid response to change requests were needed. Nevertheless, the very close and cooperative cooperation with the project management of SAACKE enabled a timely completion of all work.
